Shipping
How long does shipping take?
We process and ship orders within 1 to 2 business days, and email you a tracking number as soon as your order is on its way. Delivery time depends on your destination — your tracking link always shows the latest estimate.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet. We currently ship within the United States only. International shipping is on our roadmap. Sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know when it launches.
How much is shipping?
Free. Every US order ships free, fully tracked — no minimum.
Can I expedite my order?
We're not able to expedite orders at this time. Every order is processed and shipped within 1 to 2 business days.
The Lamps
Are Lumae lamps cordless or plug-in?
Most Lumae lamps are cordless and rechargeable — they run on internal batteries and charge over USB-C, so you can place them anywhere without thinking about outlets. A few designer pieces are USB-powered instead; each product page lists how that lamp is powered.
How long does the battery last on a single charge?
Run time varies by model and brightness setting. You'll find specific battery life listed on each product page.
Are the lamps dimmable?
Yes. Every lamp offers multiple brightness settings, controlled by touch on the base.
What kind of light do they give off?
Lumae lamps use LED light sources. Color temperature, brightness levels, and dimming behavior vary by model. See the individual product page for specifications.
Are they safe to leave on overnight?
Yes. LED sources draw very little power.
Can I use them outside?
Most Lumae lamps are indoor only. A few in the range, like Garden and Arden, are rated for sheltered outdoor use such as covered patios, screened porches, or pergolas. Check the individual product page for the specific rating. None of our lamps should be exposed to direct rain.
Will the bulbs ever need replacing?
On most Lumae lamps the LED is built in and rated for tens of thousands of hours, so there's nothing to replace. A few designer pieces use standard replaceable bulbs — the product page notes which.
Do they come with a charging cable?
Yes. Every lamp ships with a USB-C charging cable. Any standard USB charger or laptop port will power it.
Where do Lumae lamps come from?
Lumae is based in Atlanta, Georgia. Each piece is selected and specified by our team, then produced with a small group of vetted manufacturing partners — specialist workshops we hold to exacting standards for metalwork, LED consistency, and battery reliability. Every model must pass inspection before it earns a place in the collection.
Who fulfills my order?
Orders ship from our partner facilities with full tracking, processed within 1 to 2 business days. Working directly with our manufacturing partners means fewer steps between the production line and your door — that efficiency is how designer-grade lighting stays accessible.
Orders & Returns
What is your return policy?
We offer a 30-day return window from the date of delivery. If you're not satisfied for any reason, email us at hello@lumaelights.com and we'll arrange a return. Items must be in original condition.
My lamp arrived damaged. What do I do?
Email us at hello@lumaelights.com with your order number and a photo of the damage within 7 days of delivery. We'll send a replacement at no cost, no need to return the original.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Orders can be cancelled or modified within 2 hours of placement. Email hello@lumaelights.com right away if you need to make a change.
Do you offer a warranty?
Every Lumae lamp is covered by a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects. If something goes wrong, email hello@lumaelights.com and we'll make it right.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Not at this time. All lamps ship in their original packaging.
Care
How do I clean my Lumae lamp?
Wipe the body with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid cleaning sprays, solvents, and abrasive materials. If your lamp has a detachable shade or globe, lift it off the stem before wiping it down.
How should I store it long term?
Charge the battery fully before long-term storage, and top it up every few months. Keep the lamp upright in a dry place, away from direct sunlight.
The battery seems to drain faster than it used to. What can I do?
Lithium batteries lose capacity over time. To extend battery life, avoid letting the lamp run completely empty before recharging, and store it partially charged when not in use.
